THE COMMITTEE FOR OPEN DISCUSSION OF ZIONISM (CODZ)
Presents
"Transforming Palestine/Israel Into A Single, Secular, Democratic State With Equal Rights for All”
An Idea Whose Time has Come
The Committee for Open Discussion of Zionism (CODZ) is pleased to present an unprecedented panel discussion on Saturday, June 7, 2008 from 2–4pm on the topic of the one state solution for Israel and Palestine.
A live broadcast can be viewed in New York City on Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) Channel 67. It will be rebroadcast on June 21 at 9:00 PM on Free Speech TV (FSTV), DishNetwork Channel 9515.
The panel is moderated by Rabbi Susan Einbinder.
Panelists are:
Ali Abunimah, co-founder and editor of The Electronic Intifada;
Kathleen McGrath Christison, author of Perceptions of Palestine: Their Influence on U.S. Middle East Policy.
Amaya Galili, Israeli activist with Zochrot, a group working to raise Israeli consciousness of the Nakba;
Joel Kovel, editor-in chief of Capitalism Nature Socialism, and author of Overcoming Zionism.
The single state formulation, which until now has been vilified, dismissed, or suppressed in the United States, has attracted increasing support among Israeli, Palestinian, American and European peace activists and scholars as the only just and practical solution to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict—the core of the Middle-East crisis.
